An Assistant Chief Constable with Cambridgeshire Police faces a gross misconduct hearing this morning.
Naveed Malik is accused of breaching professional standards.
Mr Malik is alleged to have passed interview questions to a candidate for the Chief Inspector promotion process in February.
He was on the panel for the position – and spoke to the officer following discussions around the proposed format and content.
If found guilty, Mr Malik will have breached honesty and integrity guidelines of the force – and could be sacked.
