Cambridgeshire Police has released a statement in relation to national allegations about forensic testing.
The authority – in collaboration with Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire – says a review was instigated earlier this year.
It showed that between 2013 and this year sixty-six samples in Cambridgeshire may have been inaccurate.
The cases they relate to include road traffic offences, violent crime, sexual activity and sudden deaths.
The force goes on to say the most urgent cases will be given retesting priority.
