A series of changes are being made to bus routes in Corby and Kettering.
The following will be brought in from today the 31st December 2017;
Following the withdrawal of funding from Northamptonshire County Council, the late evening journeys will be withdrawn.
These are the 1906, 2106 and 2306 Corby – Welland Vale – Corby and 1936, 2136 and 2336 Corby – Greenhill Rise – Corby.
Following the withdrawal of funding from Northampton County Council, the late evening journeys will be withdrawn.
These are the 2005, 2205 and 2315 Corby – Shire Rd – Corby and 2035, 2235 and 2345 Corby – Danesholme – Corby
Due to requirements from Aryzta Bakery, Monday to Friday 0505 and 0535 Kettering to Desborough will now run 5 minutes earlier.
Also on Mondays to Fridays, the 1708 Grange Estate and 1730 Hilltop departures will now run 5 minutes later.
On Mondays to Saturday evenings, buses will now run a new circular operation in Desborough similar to the Sunday service. This is to improve reliability.
There have been some other minor improvements in the way the route is operated to improve the service to customers.
Most route 34 journeys will run via Barnwell Rd to/from Wellingborough to replace this section of route 44.
Additionally, on arrival in Wellingborough, route 34 will continue to Berrymoor to replace this section of route 45.
On Mondays to Saturdays, buses will no longer serve Barnwell Rd or Berrymoor (now covered by route 34 see above)
The schooldays 0720 Corby to Burton Latimer will now leave at 0705 and run with revised times throughout in order to improve reliability.
Several other weekday early morning journeys have been retimed for reliability.
