Cambridgeshire Police is hailing its Crime Prevention Day this week a success.
On Wednesday thousands of leaflets were handed out and officers also gave people advice on how to protect their homes and personal items from thieves.
Detectives also patrolled trouble hotspots in Peterborough and the rest of the county.
