The Shadow Communities Secretary’s calling on the Government to send in commissioners to take over the running of financially troubled Northamptonshire County Council.
Andrew Gwynne says it’s unfair that staff at the local authority and vulnerable residents should be forced to shoulder the burden for the cuts and what he calls the mismanagement of the Conservative administration.
It’s hoped councillors will approve revised spending plans tomorrow after the original proposals were put on hold because of a lack of money.
