The ambulance service that covers Peterborough is urging people to make sure they keep their homes well lit this winter if they`re called out.
With the nights getting darker sooner, bosses at the East of England Trust are advising residents to switch an outside light on so they can see the house name or number when they arrive.
They also recommend switching on hazard lights on a car parked in the drive or on the road and mentioning local landmarks or buildings nearby when making a call.
The ambulance service has launched Wise Up For Winter which will cover themes such as the most common reasons people call in winter, a day in the life of patient care, and how people can keep safe and well.
