Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses following the death of a man who was seriously injured in an assault in Corby, on Tuesday 3 November.
The victim, a 38-year-old man from Birmingham, suffered serious head injuries in the assault, which happened shortly after 7pm, in the KFC restaurant in Oakley Road.
He was taken to University Hospital Coventry for treatment, where he sadly died on Friday, 13 November.
A 44-year-old woman was also injured in the incident.
This evening, four weeks on from the incident, officers will be on patrol in Oakley Road, talking to people who may have been in the area on the night of the assault and who may have information to assist the investigation.
Ashley Palmer, aged 28, from Corby, has been charged with GBH and is due to appear at Northampton Crown Court on Monday, 7 December.
