A cat from Wellingborough has been shot with a pellet gun for the second time this year.
Charlie was shot in the Oak View area sometime between 8.45am and 3.50pm on Tuesday, December 15.
As a result of the attack, he had to have an eye removed and a pellet was found lodged in his neck.
The pellet also injured his mouth.
Charlie, who is described as a very friendly cat, was also shot with a pellet in February this year, when he also received injuries to his face.
Officers investigating the case believe he may be being targeted as there are other cats in the area who have not been shot at.
