Around 60 firefighters have been tackling a fire involving a large garage and an adjoining house near Peterborough.
The fire had started in the garage of the property in The Causeway, Thorney, and rapidly spread to the house fanned by the strong winds and a fuel tank becoming involved in the fire.
The garage contained a number of cars which were all burnt out.
One man was treated by an ambulance crew at the scene for smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital.
Two fire engines remained at the scene overnight with firefighters monitoring the remaining hot spots which crews were unable to access due to the unstable buildings. One crew continues to make inspections.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
