On 12 October 2015 the Council made a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) to secure the necessary land and estates and interests in land required to facilitate the implementation of a further phase of the Stanton Cross strategic urban extension.
The CPO, known as the Borough Council of Wellingborough (Station Island North, Stanton Cross) Compulsory Purchase Order 2015, is about to be submitted to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government for confirmation.
The Order, if confirmed by the Secretary of State, will authorise the compulsory acquisition of land (and certain interests in land) located to the north of Mill Road Wellingborough, together with part of Mill Road.
Following the submission of two objections to the Compulsory Purchase Order, notice is hereby given that a public local inquiry into this matter will be held at Wellingborough Council Offices, Swanspool House, Doddington Road, Wellingborough at 10.00am today.
