A man who Cambridgeshire Police describes as “a prolific offender” – has been jailed for preying on elderly victims to scam them out of money.
Gary James – who’s from St Ives – duped several pensioners into paying for gardening work – but consistently demanded more money.
On each occasion the gardening was either never started or left unfinished.
The 42 year old was sentenced to nine months at Peterborough Crown Court.
He’s also been given a criminal behaviour order to make sure he gives customers written quotations and a right to cancel.
