Carers of dementia patients in Peterborough are being urged to provide emergency details to Cambridgeshire Police.
It’s being described as a local version of The Herbert Protocol – which involves the force keeping records of patients – in case they go missing.
Carers are being asked to fill in a form with details of where the person likes to go, any medication they’re on and a photo of them.
It should then be kept up to date to save time if police ever need to find them.
Carers can download the form here: http://www.cambs-police.co.uk/Help/TheHerbertProtocol/?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=Social%20media&utm_campaign=Herbert%20Protocol
