It’s been revealed that mistakes made by the NHS in the area are costing millions of pounds a year in payouts.
Research carried out by the Shared Data Unit shows how much each trust in England is paying for claims – for both historical and more recent cases.
Between 2012 and 2017 – more than 50 million pounds was paid out for errors made in Northamptonshire.
28 million was from Kettering General alone.
Meanwhile more than thirty million pounds was paid out for errors from the Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals Trust.
Nationally – claims have cost the NHS more than six billion pounds in the same period.
