It’s been revealed that an area of Northamptonshire has one of the highest rates of avoidable deaths in the country.
A Shared Data Unit investigation’s looked at the number of deaths which could have been avoided through medical intervention or timely and effective healthcare.
The figures only cover under 74s.
Corby – with 324 per 100,000 – is in the highest 20 percent in England.
But Huntingdonshire – with 160 – is in the best fifth of the country.
