A report on plans to create two unitary authorities in Northamptonshire’s out later.
The proposed local government reform submission papers will be available on the websites of all the councils in Northants from three this afternoon.
They’ll show what all eight authorities think should be done after it was suggested there should be two councils serving the north and south of the county to replace all of the current borough and
district authorities and the County Council.
The move came about after Northamptonshire County Council was criticised for the way it’s been handling its finances.
The authority has a 70 million pound funding shortfall.
