The Freight Transport Association’s welcomed plans to upgrade a stretch of the A14 in Cambridgeshire to motorway.
The move’s been suggested by Highways England as part of ongoing work between Cambridge and Huntingdon.
The FTA says it had already recommended the upgrade two years ago – and it needs to be one of several improvements around the East of England and beyond.
Meanwhile work to install two one thousand tonne bridges over the road has been completed ahead of schedule.
The Cambridge to Huntingdon upgrade team installed the bridges this weekend at Bar Hill following several months of preparation work.
