A robber from Corby who persistently failed to attend court hearings has eventually been convicted four years after he committed the offence.
Liam McKinnon and an accomplice took expensive bikes from the Cycle Shop on Rockingham Road in October 2014 – they were recovered along with a stocking worn by one of the riders.
DNA linked it to McKinnon who was arrested and charged the following year.
Between November 2015 and June 2018 he failed to appear on numerous occasions – and was arrested again in the summer before being remanded in custody.
A jury’s found him guilty – he’ll be sentenced before the end of the year.
